Haven’t seen a thread for this so decided to make a new one.
Meridian is offering $300 for opening a new chequing account with them and then within the first 30 days of Account opening, complete at least one (1) of the following:
- Set up a recurring monthly direct deposit of at least $100 per deposit, each month, from an employer, the government, or your pension, and maintain this for a minimum of three (3) consecutive months. Qualifying direct deposits includes the following: payroll; pension direct deposits; Canada pension plan; old age security; disability payments, and governmental deposits such as employment insurance; Canada child benefit, Ontario trillium benefit; and veteran disability pension;
- Or in the case of people who do not receive direct deposits, set up two (2) recurring monthly pre-authorized debit bill payments of at least $100 per payment, each month (“Qualifying Bill Payments”) and maintain both Qualifying Bill Payments for a minimum of three (3) consecutive months. Qualifying Bill Payments is restricted to the following: car payments, mortgage payments, phone bill payments, utility bill payments and insurance payments.
The offer is only eligible for folks who have not held a Meridian share as of March 1, 2025.
Additionally, there are no account fees for the first year.
The Account’s monthly package fee will be waived for the first twelve (12) months from the date of the Account opening, provided the New Member meets the Offer Eligibility Criteria. All other applicable services charges on the Account will continue to apply. After twelve (12) months, the standard monthly package fee for the Account will apply, at the price of the package in twelve (12) months.
The bonus will be paid out on the last day of the month after the third deposit is received. The payment schedule is on the bottom of the T&Cs. I don’t see any offer for referrals unfortunately but its still easy money for a few min of work.
