This email from Cineplex landed in my inbox a short time ago, and if you were planning on going to see a movie, maybe wait a couple of days, because they’re going to be boosting the Scene+ points you earn by 5x over the standard base earning rates (works out to 15 pts/$1 on base admissions, and 30 pts/$1 for premium/Cineplex VIP admissions).
The fine print included as part of it:
*Scene+ members who purchase a ticket for a showtime between October 2–12, 2026 will earn 5X the standard Scene+ points. The standard earn rate is 3 points per $1.00 spent on regular admission tickets and 6 points per $1.00 spent on premium experience tickets, before tax and rounded to the nearest point. Standard points are awarded at purchase; bonus points will be awarded up to 3 weeks after the offer period. The Scene+ points earned on the redemption of CineClub Monthly Member Ticket Credits are not part of the 5X offer; however, 5X the standard Scene+ earn rate will apply to the amount paid over and above the value of the Monthly Member Ticket Credit for a premium experience ticket. Cannot be combined with other offers. Tickets purchased in whole or in part with Scene+ points, group bookings, and refunded transactions are not eligible.
