This may be beneficial if for example, you reload your phone with a egift card to pay for purchases like Tim Hortons. You get 5% in CAA rewards back, so for a $20 gift card for Tim Hortons, you get $1 CAA rewards back which can go towards your CAA Renewal.
Typically since Rakuten Giftcards often give me 1 or 2% towards a GC like Tim Hortons, the CAA option is more beneficial. I was able to get the Tim Hortons gift card instantly and saw the $1 CAA Rewards in the next few days.
This may not be a hot deal but since there are some retailers I purchase more frequently, it’ll be beneficial for me and so I thought I would share to others.
