XSHOT 4 pack of Nerf compatible blasters on clearance for $20. I bought this set, and they arent the best but for $5 a blaster plus 48 darts, it’s a great deal.
This would be good for younger kids as they are easy to prime and pretty low power so wont cause much damage or hurt as bad when getting hit.
I used to think XSHOT was just cheap Nerf knockoff stuff, but after going down the foam blaster rabbit hole they actually make decent stuff at their other tiers. Nerf has definitely fallen behind and is relying a lot on their name brand at this point.
Ordered mine online with another blaster to get free shipping and got it next day in a comically large box that my son had a lot of fun repurposing as a bunker during the snow day.
