[KarlaFinance.com] New Canadian Personal Finance App

Hey everyone,

Quick story: Iโ€™m a Canadian renter who kept โ€œmeaning to budgetโ€ every month, and it always turned into the same routine, open a banking app, feel guilty, close it, repeat. The problem wasnโ€™t discipline. It was that money tools either feel like spreadsheets or they give you numbers with zero clarity.

So my two co-founders and I built KarlaFinance. Itโ€™s a Canadian-born personal finance app designed to make your finances feel calm and obvious.

What it does:

  • Connect as many cards/accounts as you want
  • Gives you a clear view of spending across everything
  • Lets you ask your money questions in plain English (instead of digging through categories and filters)

The chat part is the โ€œmoatโ€ for us, because it turns finance into something you can actually use day-to-day:

โ€œWhat did I spend on food this month?โ€

โ€œWhat subscriptions did I forget about?โ€

โ€œWhat can I safely spend this week?โ€

Weโ€™re still early, so Iโ€™m not here to do a hard sell. Iโ€™m here because RFD is full of people who are smart with money and will tell you the truth fast.

If you want to try it:

If you do, Iโ€™d love feedback on one thing: what would make this genuinely useful for you in 30 seconds or less?
