[Renogy] Renogy 12v 100ah lithium iron phosphate battery $648 – warmish, about the usual “on sale” price

It was $616 in April, but time machine, etc.

There has traditionally been a coupon code that brings stuff down a bit further (“WillProwse” might work?) and I think there is some kind of referral thing they have. If someone else can do that research? I think all these links are non referral because I’m not logged in the website, not sure if they customize marketing URLs on a per customer level.

Also some other stuff on sale

Now… Renogy isn’t the cheapest way to get into lifepo4. For peace of mind / warranty, it’s probably a decent choice.

This is ~35% more than the cheapest stuff out there, but when you get to that price point, there is so so so so much sketchy garbage out there. Like “burn your house or van down” dangerous.

It’s worth doing your own research. There are a lot of tradeoffs when it comes to one kind of setup vs another.

These CAN NOT be put in series to get higher voltage. This means more expensive wiring.

Also fwiw, their bluetooth module has been almost worthless for me. Range is “in clear line of sight in a trailer and even then it sucks”

Their app also apparently needs internet now, which you probably don’t need to use unless you are wanting to change the charging amperage of their DC to DC chargers (which you might need to do if your alternator will die if you try and pull 50 amps from it for more than a minute or two)

I made a separate tech discussion thread since these all tend to devolve into 30 pages of technical questions.
