Good thing for me, because Lenovo have their semi-annual sale and it’s also paired with 12% cashback promo with Rakuten. Yeah, this is not a bargain laptop by any means, but the cumulative discounts currently offered are as interesting as what I have seen so far, and I’ll probably seal the deal by the end of the week.
On top of the inital discount on this particular model ( $ 1 100 off ~ 23% ), it would also provide 12% cashback, should you use Rakuten, so $ 438 for the laptop itself, not considering any add-ons. It also give $ 109 in My Lenovo rewards.
Promo code EXTRAFIVE also takes off an extra 5%. Not the most interesting offer but, as it’s the only code listed on Rakuten, I’m going with this one, since using codes not listed on their website could void the cash back.
So that totals about $ 1 830 in all discounts (semi-annual sale, coupon, and cash backs), a combined 38.5% off the regular price.
On top of the usual discounts on accessories and software when you purchase a computer, there currently are 15% discounts on the 3yrs-4yrs protection plans and a 20% off on Office 365……I’m more interested on the Home version of Office, and it was discounted yesterday….but not today.
Referrals for Rakuten and My Lenovo also produce $ 40 – $ 50 bonuses
With my current configuration, my Rakuten cashback would give mea a hair over $ 500, alongside $ ( 1 282.50 ) off the laptop itself with the EXTRAFIVE code.
I thought about adding accessories like the mechanical keyboard, cooling pad and surround headset, but I’m pretty sure I could purchase better items should I wait for the Black Friday/Christmas sales and do my homework in the meantime on which peripherals I should go for, instead — unless those Lenovo products are outstanding and a crazy value when the 45~50% discount when purchasing a computer that it would be stupid of me not to take them now.
