Philippine Airlines (PAL) Return From YVR to Asia

PAL has some IMO excellent return fares for Sept and Oct from YVR (likely other Cdn depart cities as well) to some places in Asia.

Use Google flights to search and it is slightly cheaper booking via 3rd party discount website than PAL website.

For my YVR to SGN return, it is only $675 cad all in (budgetair.com). At PAL website, it’s $740 cad.
Initially I was going to use my Avios and fly JAL biz class (123,750 avios + $283.97 taxes/fees) from YVR to SGN and then fly PAL one way from SGN to YVR ($549).
Booking PAL return, I save $158 plus my 123,750 avios but obviously YVR to SGN econ vs biz class on JAL. I flew YVR to SGN biz class on JAL (first time flying on JAL) last year and I was a bit disappointed, esp since some told me JAL biz class product is quite nice.
IMO, AC biz class is better than JAL biz class.

2 check-in baggage allowance.
For me, flight and connection times are excellent.

Never flown PAL before and I don’t expect much. PAL biz class on same flights is $3891.

I did double check that there is in-flight entertainment for all my 4 segments.
