The terms don’t state what a “qualifying purchase” entails. Best deal would be to use a CineClub monthly ticket (if it qualifies), a Tuesday discounted ticket, or even a child ticket. Email about the promo is the only place where it states “any” movie ticket.

≠ The Offer is available from February 12 to February 26, 2025 (the “Offer Period”) on purchases made by the eligible Scene+ member at any participating Cineplex Entertainment LP locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba (“Western Canada”), Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador (“Atlantic Canada”), Quebec, and Ontario during the Offer Period. Minimum qualifying purchase must be made in a single transaction. Scene+ digital or physical membership card must be presented. Offer must be loaded to a registered Scene+ card prior to transaction. The eligible Scene+ member will receive a barcode for $20 off their next grocery purchase (the “Barcode”) at a participating grocery store** when they make one (1) purchase transaction of a general admission movie ticket (a “Qualifying Purchase”) that is made on a date (the transaction date) during the Offer Period. Limit of one (1) Barcode per household. Barcode expires March 27, 2025. The full value of the Barcode must be used in a single transaction and cannot be used with any other promo code. Barcode cannot be used on multiple purchases or split on multiple purchases. Any unused portion of the Barcode will not be issued or reimbursed. Purchases using the Barcode excludes taxes, tobacco products, gift cards, bottle deposits, prescriptions, lottery, alcoholic beverages, fuel, Western Union, prescription drugs, non-prescription pharmacy services and any other non-discountable product excluded by law or as Sobeys Capital Incorporated determines from time to time. Tim Hortons®, Starbucks®, McCafé® products, and fluid dairy may be excluded in certain regions. Offer excludes taxes, transactions at The Rec Room, Playdium online at the Cineplex Store, and other goods and services which are non discountable or excluded by law. Additional exclusions may apply.
