[CIBC] CIBC Aventura Visa Infinite/Gold offers: 45k points, FYF, $3000 MSR in 4 months

Found a better offer on this card through google than the standard 35k points with $3000 minimum spend offered on the CIBC website. Also available through various affiliates (e.g. GCR), but I didn’t notice any with additional cash back.

If you apply and are approved for a new eligible card, you can receive:

i. A welcome bonus of 15,000 Aventura Points when you make your first purchase.

ii. An additional bonus of 30,000 Aventura points if you have at least $3,000 in net purchases posted to your account during the first 4 monthly statement periods.

UPDATE 2024-09-04: The 45k point offer is still on, but some posters are reporting that the 50% discount on travel redemptions has now ended. At 0.625 cents per point, 45k points would now be worth $281.25 for travel redemptions. With the aventura flight rewards, the 45k points could be worth $800 or more. Points can be redeemed for gift cards at 3500 points = $25. Another option is to redeem for payments against certain CIBC mortgage, loan, and investment products at 12k points = $100.

UPDATE 2024-09-17: Many posters have reported that the 50% discount on travel redemptions is still in effect.

UPDATE 2024-10-03: The 50% fewer points offer for travel redemptions has been replaced by a 35% discount, i.e. 1 cent per point. This makes the 45k points worth $450.
