The game’s premise is cleverly simple and easy to understand. An evil entity called The Lich is behind a time loop that’s infected the world. That’s represented in-game by randomly generated, literally looping terrain, and it’s your job to assemble your deck, deploy your heroes, survive, and break free of the spell.
Before each game, you make decisions. You might select a Rogue, a Necromancer, or a Warrior hero class to send into the chaos. They’ll do the fighting for you, and their work will drop cards, equipment, and resources. Your job is to play the cards in your hand, placing things like graveyards, villages, and even enemies around the map. While you build the world, your hero attempts to conquer it.
Part auto-battler, part card game, Loop Hero is endlessly changing. Each time your hero completes a loop, for example, the world gets deadlier, and the odds of their survival decrease. But also, you get more powerful and unlock more upgrades for your hero’s camp. And the more cards you play, the more you’ll discover about how they interact with each other.
