[Centre HiFi] Onkyo 5.1.2 HTIB (Home Theatre in a Box) $699

Includes free shipping. I ordered it on Sunday and it was delivered Tuesday. This Onkyo HTIB comes with everything you need for a traditional surround sound experience. I installed the previous gen version of this HTIB for my parents years ago and they’ve been happy with it so when I saw this deal I pulled the trigger on one for myself.

Audiophiles will say it’s better to buy a receiver for $450 and to build your own system with used parts off Marketplace but for this price, you cannot beat it for a ready-to-go setup. This will outperform virtually any soundbar you can find on the market and has lower latency than something with wireless receivers.

MSRP is inflated, I think it’s more like $999 but still good savings. Deal expires Friday.

Hi-Fi Centre is the (Quebec-based) sister store of 2001 Audio Video. They refused to price match as they claim $699 is below their cost but it’s worth a try if you’d like an Ontario-based retailer, YMMV
