I’ve been looking at the LG 40WP95C-W, a 40″ 5K2K UltraWide Nano IPS monitor (5120×2160, 21:9, 72Hz). It comes with Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, HDR10, and a curved Nano IPS panel.
Right now, it’s available for $1499, down from its regular price of $2500. As far as I know, this is the lowest price ever, except for that Black Friday pricing error at $600.
This monitor isn’t great for gaming due to the 72Hz refresh rate and response time, but for productivity, it’s amazing—the extra screen space and high resolution make multitasking super smooth.
When I saw it drop to $1499 last night, I jumped on it and bought it immediately. I’ve been searching for a 5K2K monitor for at least a month, and at this price, it seemed like a great deal.
Also, if you create a new account, you can use a $50 welcome coupon, bringing the price down to $1450!
I know the Dell UltraSharp U4025QW is a solid alternative with a 40″ IPS panel, 5K2K resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate, but it never drops below $2500, so it’s not really in the same price range.
