  • [Virgin Plus / Bell] [Black Friday] Virgin Plus / Bell – Winback 2025

    Image
    Good news, everyone!

I just got the details for Virgin Plus 2025 Winback offers and wanted to share.

    What is a Winback offer?

A winback offer is a special deal that only applies after you leave the carrier.
Usually, Virgin will call you after you cancel to try to win you back, but (unofficially) you can also call them yourself as long as:

    • You were with Virgin for at least 3 months, and
    • You recently left/cancelled your Virgin line.

YMMV, but that’s the general rule.

How to get the Winback offer

    1. Cancel your Virgin line (port out to another carrier or cancel outright).
    2. After cancellation, call the Winback Department: 1-866-856-9132.
    3. Tell them you’re:

    • Looking for a BYOD plan, or
    • Interested in a plan with a device.

From there, they’ll check your account and see what offers they can give you.

2025 Virgin Winback Offers (as of now)

    BYOD (bring your own device):

    • $30 / 75GB
    • $45 / 150GB

    Device (tab/financing):

    • $45 / 150GB + $240 Agreement Credit on device
    • $45 / 150GB + $320 Agreement Credit on iPhone 17 Pro Max and perhaps some other expensive units

BYOD is straightforward: you accept the plan and re-port your number back to Virgin.
Device purchase can be complicated, either it gets shipped to your home or to a Virgin Plus location or you go grab it in a retailer to max out on promos.

    Potential Bell Winback (confirmation needed)

If someone can confirm, I’m pretty sure Bell has similar winback offers for 2025:

    • Same or very similar plan pricing as Virgin,
    • But with a higher $480 agreement credit on devices instead of $240/$320,
    • And the process should be basically the same (cancel/port out → call winback → ask for BYOD or device offer, possibly pick up phone at a retailer).

    Bell Winback phone number: 1-866-928-8053

If anyone gets a Bell winback offer (or is told different numbers), please post your data points so we can confirm and update this section.

How to get the best device offers in retailers:

This is where it can get a bit tricky. Some agents know the process very well, others not so much.

    Here’s roughly how it goes:

    1. They’ll ask which phone you want.
→ Example: you say iPhone 17.

    2. Let’s say they see the phone at $48.38/month on a 24-month term for the price listed on Virgin Plus’s website.
With the $240 agreement credit, that works out to about $10/month off, so the agent will usually quote you around $38.38/month for the phone.

    3. Ask if you can pick up the phone in store (Best Buy, Walmart, Costco, etc.) and have them apply the promo/credit to your account.

    • If they agree, you go to the retailer, get the phone, and often still qualify for the in-store gift card.
    • If the retailer’s price is cheaper (e.g. $40/month instead of $48.38), the agreement credit still applies, so your cost drops further (e.g. down to ~$30/month).

    Important:
Retail staff are often seasonal and may initially tell you that winback plans aren’t eligible. Once they actually start the activation, they’ll usually see the “Winback plan” in the system.

If a particular store is giving you a hard time or says they can’t see the offer, try:

    • Another location, or
    • Calling the Winback team back to double-check your account.

    YMMV, especially on device setups.

⚠️ If the agreement credit doesn’t show up

Worst case, if the $240 (or $320) agreement credit isn’t applied correctly:

    1. Complete the upgrade / activation.
    2. Call the Winback team again.
    3. Explain that:

    • You accepted the winback offer,
    • You upgraded your device, but
    • The winback agreement credit is missing on the contract.

They should be able to manually adjust the credit, but I personally had difficulties with that last year.

    • Be patient and polite, especially with retail staff (as an ex Canada Computers employee, I know the pain of Black Friday); winback setups are edge cases for them.
    • Double-check your monthly plan price and device balance before leaving the store or accepting the contract.
    • Everything here is YMMV and can change at any time depending on Virgin’s (and Bell’s) internal promos.

With a bit of persistence, you should be able to lock in a solid deal.
Good luck, and share your data points in the thread!
