4070 is last gen yes, but the 4070 and 5070 laptop are very close in specs. If you look up comparison videos, at 1440p, they perform very closely in a lot of modern games.

Across 25 games, the 4070 gets 63 avg FPS at 1440p and the 5070 gets 68 avg FPS, a 5 FPS difference. Also worth considering the 5070 laptop had faster RAM and a better processor, so I’d say the average difference is realistically maybe like 3-4 FPS.

The R9-8945HS is also a very fast processor that should have no problem with multitasking especially with the 32GB RAM. Would make for a good psuedo laptop-desktop setup with extra monitors.
