For anyone here driving an EV or already running a FLO charger at home, FLO is officially rolling out their new FLO Reward Program starting November 2, 2026. Once enrollment opens in the app, both new and existing owners of connected FLO Home X3, X5, X6, and X8 units can earn a flat $0.10 per eligible kWh charged at home (unfortunately, the older G5 models are excluded). What makes this interesting—even if you don’t own their home hardware—is that the exact same $0.10/kWh rebate applies when you plug into eligible public/commercial FLO stations on the road, and enrolling a residential unit also extends your hardware coverage to a Program Lifetime Warranty for as long as your charger stays online and enrolled.

Looking at the broader landscape of Canadian CFR (Clean Fuel Regulations) charging rebates, $0.10/kWh definitely isn’t the highest payout on the market right now, though it’s far from the worst. If you were buying from scratch purely to maximize cashback, some competing programs edge this out by a few cents per kilowatt-hour. That said, the huge win here for existing owners is zero switching costs. Most rival programs force you into specific hardware or weird third-party OCPP workarounds, so being able to keep my existing FLO unit on the wall without paying an electrician to swap equipment makes the slightly lower rate an easy pill to swallow.

The other major plus is the day-to-day user experience. Anyone who has dealt with clunky smart-charging apps knows how frustrating it is when a platform drops your Wi-Fi connection and fails to log a session. FLO’s app is solid, and having both residential tracking and public network charging consolidated into one reliable interface without tiers or minimum session limits is a massive quality-of-life perk.

The one catch to keep on your radar is the delayed payout timeline: rewards start stacking immediately on November 2, but you won’t be able to redeem them as FLO Wallet public charging credits until Spring 2027, and direct cash payouts won’t open up until Fall 2027.
