If you’re looking for a super light, 14 inch laptop with a mid power CPU, you may want to check out this brand new 2023 LG Gram 14Z90R-Q.APB5U1:

https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/LG-gram-14 … 9NTFF2HXAZ

$748 plus tax

3 years warranty from LG.

The device is sold by Mega PC Mall on both Walmart and Bestbuy marketplaces, although the latter has restrictions on shipping destinations, and Mega PC Mall never filled the specs in the Bestbuy database, so you won’t find it by filtering for specs.

I’ve bought one and can report that it is actually a little lighter than the advertised 990 g, My kitchen scale measures 972 g.

Mine was manufactured in June of 2023. So the CPU is a 13th generation Intel i5. Only 8 GB RAM, but a 16:10 screen with anti-glare.

I immediately upgraded the OS to Linux Mint and everything seems to be supported out of the box.

Currently 3 are left. Shipping was faster than advertised.
