I was actually just at the Staples near High Tech & Red Maple Rd checking out laptop prices, when I casually started chatting with one of the wireless reps there. Didn’t expect much, but that’s when I found out about their Back-to-School promos with Bell & Virgin this year and wow, the deals are good! I moved from Koodo and upgraded on the iPhone 16 for only $8/month on lease after I used my store credits towards device with Bell. Also, I ended up switching my spouse’s number from Koodo to Virgin for $40/month, no connection fee, & they threw in a $75 Staples Gift Card. I wasn’t even planning to sign up, but the offer was too good to ignore, I guess.

UPDATE (6/19): I have added Sega Retro / Sonic Retro entries for each of the relevant games listings; I have added four (4) relevant articles at the bottom of the Deal post, which highlight the historical precedent whereby SEGA had previously delisted several of its older retro games from both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store … with that in mind, its probably a good idea to claim these 9 mobile game apps and have them associated/linked to your Google Play Store / Apple App Store user accounts, so that they can be remain downloadable for however long they remain listed on these storefronts. Or alternatively, find a method of doing a file backup (e.g. Android APK files).

Many SEGA games on mobile app stores have featured ads and In-App Purchases (IAPs) – or, some games had a one-time purchase price around the CA$2 to CA$4 mark – for quite some time … until very recently – due to SEGA having discontined support for thirteen (13) of these mobile games:

• the associated ads and IAPs have been removed for these thirteen (13) specific games
• or, if the game had a one-time purchase price, that pricing has now been removed and the game is 100% free to claim/download
• also, these games can now be played offline

Other SEGA mobile games outside of these thirteen, appear to still retain their ads / IAPs – or one-time purchase price amounts.
