First real post, sorry for any errors.

Found a decent deal on a quality, shuckable 14TB WD Elements HDD down from $425 to $280. $20/TB and $30 more than the Seagate one posted yesterday, but as far as I can tell you’re still guaranteed a good quality, helium filled NAS/White Label drive instead of a basic Barracuda. Have bought several WD My Book and Elements drives for Plex in the past decade and they’ve been excellent.

All-time low looks like $240-250 in 2023 so some of you may want to hold out longer, but I’m getting low on storage and the price isn’t that far off.

BestBuy has the EasyStore version for the same price in case this one sells out. Should be the same drive with one less year of warranty, but you may want to double check.

Selling for $799 (without solar panel) on the Jackery website. This is the revised ExplorerV2 which has improved greatly over the Exporer 1000.

4000 charge cycles (to 70%) vs 1000 with Explorer 1000 (to 80%)
Charges in 1.7 hours vs 7.5 hours with Explorer 1000
1500 watt output/3000 peak vs 1000 with Explorer 1000
LiFePO4 battery vs NMC

I have owned a Jackery for 5 years and been happy with the quality and how it has performed, but I would only buy units that have the new LiFePO battery. The older units had batteries with minimal charge cycles.

There are other competitors out there (Bluetti, Ecoflow and others) so review your needs before you purchase. If you are looking for Jackery, and your power needs are simple, this is a good price. The reviews are good with 4/5 on Costco with the one star complaining about delivery, rather than the product itself. I’ve not used this solar panel so can’t speak to it but the reviews for a similar 40W on Amazon are good with 4% giving it 1 star and 2% giving 2 stars (out of 7,000 reviews).

Never played this game before but reviews seem decent for those with kids.
