  • [No Frills] Charmin 8=24, Bounty 3=6 packs $6 ea, Get 8,000 PCO pts for every $25 spent (YMMV)

In the Ontario flyer Jan. 22 – 28, No Frills has the 8=24 packs of Charmin toilet paper (Ultra Soft and Ultra Strong) on sale for $6 which is a good price these days. They also have Bounty 3=6 rolls of paper towel on sale for $6. Each roll has 82 sheets. I don’t normally buy Bounty so I don’t know how good a price that is. What makes this deal hot is that there is an offer for 8,000 PCO points for every $25 you spend on Charmin or Bounty. You can mix and match. The offer is a one time use offer. It wasn’t in my “Offers picked for you” so I don’t think it is personalised which is why I posted.

Buy 9 packs of Charmin for $54. Get $16 back in points = $38 net for the equivalent of 216 rolls. That brings it down to $.1759 per roll equivalent from $.25 or makes each 8=24 pack $4.22 each. I only buy Charmin Ultra Strong so I don’t do the whole per sq. m pricing or per 1000 sheets because quality matters to me.

Buy 9 packs of Bounty for $54. Get $16 back in points = $38 net for the equivalent of 54 rolls. That brings it down to $.7037 per roll equivalent or makes each 3=6 pack $4.22 each. Cost per sheet would be $.0172.

Do whatever math works for you to figure out if this is a deal.

  • [Costco] Acer Nitro Gaming Laptop i7-13620H RTX 5060 75W 16GB/1TB – $1299

    Display and Video Graphics:
    15.6-in. FHD Display (1920 x 1080)
    Refresh Rate 180 Hz
    8GB NVIDIAĀ® GeForceĀ® RTXā„¢ 5060

    Communication:
    Wi-Fi 6 + BluetoothĀ® 5.1

135W power adapter. Wifi card upgradeable. 2x NVMe slots according to the breakdown: https://laptopmedia.com/guides/how-to-o … e-options/

I think this is a better deal than the 5070 Cyborg also at Costco: https://www.costco.ca/msi-cyborg-15-156 … 16081.html

Although it has more ram the Cyborg is DDR5, while this Acer is DDR4. Cheaper to upgrade. The TGP of the Cyborg is 60W so sustained performance is apparently similar despite 5070 vs 5060. Acer has two fans vs one on the Cyborg.

  • [Collective Arts] Collective Arts Beer (Ontario only) – Heavily discounted sours/gose (over 50% off)

Noticed some heavily discounted Collective Arts beer on their online shop, specifically the following varieties:

    • Cherry Limeade Sour at $2.30/can (473ml, 6.2%) – LCBO price $4.95/can
    • Strawberry Lemonade Sour at $2.30/can (473ml, 6.1%) – LCBO price $4.95/can
    • Guava Gose at $1.37/can (355ml, 4.9%) – I believe regular price is > $3/can

I live in Hamilton area and don’t think I have ever seen a can of Collective Arts listed for as little as $1.37. I know sours are not for everyone, but I am a fan and have enjoyed most of CA’s offerings in recent years.

There are various other deals for other drinks on their website, though less notable; for example $5 off their cocktail mix packs.

The coupon code “SAVE5” should stack for an additional $5 off your order.

NOTE: Delivery in Ontario only (“vast majority” of the province as per website), and order minimum is $99.99 for a delivery containing beer/drinks (shipping $9.99). Free shipping requires $175 minimum spend.

  • [Epic Games] (Android, iOS) The Forest Quartet (was $6.89) – Free (until January 29th 8am PST)

The Forest Quartet is free this week on the Epic Games Store for mobile (Epic Games News – 1.22.2026)

The Forest Quartet is a story-focused, puzzle-filled adventure game about love, loss, and the healing power of music.

You play as Nina, the titular quartet’s dearly departed lead singer. Nina’s flowing, glowing spirit spends the game confronting the mourning darkness that has overtaken each of her bandmates’ souls.

There’s Kirk, whose once-green and lush nature has given way to fungus and decay, and you must restore his forest using your voice. Then there’s JB, whose forest is mired in darkness and whose house is surrounded by creatures from the depths, and it’s your job to dissipate the darkness and restore the light. And finally, there’s Sebastian, whose forest borders an erupting volcano that spills magma and spreads fire—you’ll need to cool things off by restoring a water system.

Solve puzzles, transform into butterflies, save your friends, and put on one last concert in The Forest Quartet. This intimate and moving adventure is set to a score written by developer Mads Vadsholt’s father, a lead character voiced by his sister, and a soundtrack from The Danish Radio Big Band of Copenhagen, Denmark.

  • [Epic Games] (Android, iOS) Dumb Ways to Die (was $5.69) – Free (until January 22nd 8am PST)

Dumb Ways to Die is free this week on the Epic Games Store for mobile (Epic Games News – 1.15.2026)

Dumb Ways to Die is a collection of more than 80 minigames starring Beans so dumb that it’s your job to keep them from dying in and around a train station.

The game’s creation dates back to a 2012 public service announcement from Metro Trains Melbourne designed to promote train safety. The Beans were the stars—a cast of adorably drawn, sentient dingbats who excel at getting themselves into trouble. The initial video went viral and stands at more than 344 million views on YouTube.

The next year, PlaySide created a game starring those same Beans, and that’s where you come in. In Dumb Ways to Die, it’s your job to help the hopeless Beans—the one with its hair on fire, the self-taught pilot, the one that put the fork in the toaster, and so many more.

The more you play Dumb Ways to Die, the more colorful Beans you unlock. You can even create your own dingbat Bean with the game’s character creator.
