    JUNE 12 update:

Under age of majority people CANNOT refer , but they can be referred. So silly.

Refer payments are not paid out until after 60 days. You can call telephone banking to see which accounts are linked to yours for refer bonus though.

    CIBC fine print:

  • [Amazon.ca] Oasloa Mini PC Ryzen: Ryzen 5 7430U, 16GiB 512 GB, $299

Warning: I have never heard of OASLOA but googling gets a few hits. Don’t count on firmware updates. You can return it to Amazon within 30 days.

This is the cheapest that I’ve noticed a system with a processor more powerful than than an Intel N150.
    The processor is a Ryzen 5 7430U which is essentially a R5 5625U https://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Ryzen … 966.0.html
It has a very comfortable amount of RAM and SSD.
It comes with “DOS”: no Windows license. Linux is free and Windows is inexpensive.

I’m not going to buy one: I’ve already got more than enough mini-PCs.

  • [Staples] Corsair RM750e Fully Modular 750W (2023) GOLD rated PC Power Supply $99.97 (Individual Staples locations ONLY)

Corsair fully modular RM750e, 750W PSU, I believe this is the 2023 model without the 12VHPWR connector on the back, on Clearance at INDIVIDUAL STORES ONLY, NO ONLINE, NO DELIVERY.

(Searching Montreal and Toronto areas, almost every store has at least 1 unit. One store at Queensway has 7 units)

BNIB, just picked up one at my local Staples. The 1 unit in stock in my city was there, on the shelf. The Staples guy gave me an additional $10 off for some reason… during a Bell/Virgin upsell spiel. I paid $89.97 but YMMV in that regard.

The 850e is also on sale for $119.99, saving $60. There is less stock but a few left in the areas I searched. Search your area and jump on it.

    https://www.staples.ca/products/3060736 … collection

If you have a 12VHPWR powered GPU, you may not want to use these with an adapter, I’m not sure. I have an 850x in another rig and it’s a pretty great unit. Unsure the difference between the “e” and the “x” but I see these models at $60-$80 more elsewhere.

So buy online, to pickup at store, reserve it and go pick it up – if close to a location.
