This is for all of you who got the cheap prepaid Gamepass cards over the years.

Due to the recent change introducing caps on streaming hours, Microsoft is offering refunds on gamepass subscriptions.

For those who prepaid, it’s only store credit, but the refund appears to be at the current prepaid pricing levels. Eg: $25.99/m for ultimate.

If you don’t like the caps, or are lucky enough to have paid less, this seems like a pretty good win.

Canadian Tire is clearing out the “Global Takashi Stainless Steel Knife & Bamboo Wood Block Set, 6-pc” for $239 to $269 depending on location, so big YMMV. They go for ~$299 on Amazon, so the $269 is warm, but not hot. Some stores in Ontario and Quebec showing stock at $239 and $245, I believe I grabbed the last $239 set in NB.

Three of the knives are great (chef, pairing and bread), the vegetable knife is good quality but most people just use the chef for everything. The scissor quality is excellent, and they easily come apart for deep cleaning and sharpening. Block is meh, too small and limited IMO.

Again, big YMMV, but excellent quality for the price if you can find it.
