Spotted this 14″ Acer Chromebook on sale for $219 for Prime Day. For a cheap laptop under $250, getting a WUXGA (1920 x 1200) screen is honestly pretty crazy—most budget laptops at this price point force you onto those awful 720p panels that look like absolute trash. MediaTek chip + 4GB RAM won’t run heavy software, but for web browsing, streaming, or giving to the kids for Google Classroom, the bang for your buck here is insane. Wi-Fi 6E is a sweet bonus too for $200 bucks.

Thinking of picking up this TP-Link RE405BE from Amazon.ca.
The price looks tempting, but I’m wondering if it’s worth spending extra over the RE235BE.
On paper, it has a 2.5G Ethernet port, EasyMesh support, and higher rated 5 GHz speeds than the RE235BE.
It’s dual-band though, so no 6 GHz.Has anyone actually used this one? Does it hold a stable connection, and what speeds are you getting compared with connecting directly to your router?
Would you buy it at this price, wait for a better deal, or put the money toward a mesh setup instead? Router model and setup details would be helpful!

Just saw this is the #1 best seller right now. If you’re looking for a basic couch tablet under 300 bucks and hate how slow and restricted the Amazon Fire tablets are, this Tab A11+ for $269.98 is a no-brainer. You get the full Google Play Store out of the box and 25W fast charging. Just grabbed one mainly for reading and streaming YouTube in bed.
