Was a bit hesitant in posting but I don’t think there are that many aquarium enthusiasts in this forum, haha.

I didn’t see this posted anywhere, saw a discussion about the previous model 990D and decided what the heck, post this up.
After some consideration of AV receivers, bookshelf (Elac Debut 3.0 was near the top of the list), subs etc. to get back into a ‘proper’ setup (I had a 5.1 setup back in the day when towers were 4 feet tall and 18 x 18″ footprints) to refresh our TV room in the basement, I decided to give the Samsung 990F a try.
Only because Visions has an open-box offer at $1297. This is half of what I was looking at spending on a 2.1 setup with a Sony AV1000, Elac Debut 3.0 and a reasonable sub.
Bottom line is if you’re in the market for a soundbar, the 990F seems to be at or near the top of all the lists and at $1300 it seems like a good deal.
They also have the JBL 1300 for the same price which reviewers say is ‘punchier’ but not as accurate in terms of sound quality. The battery powered detachable BT enabled surrounds on the JBL also seem pretty gimmicky.

Vision are usually using “Open-Box” to be able to sell lower than MSRP.
New price is also available at Costco.
55,75,100 use a ADS-PRO Panel (IPS) = lower contrast, faster, higher watching angle
