Looks like they’re liquidating a discontinued model (previous Gen). Only the Black Colour with Music is on sale for $299. Lowest I’ve seen it.
The white music is retailing for $539.99, and the blue non-music for $469.99. Some people previously said not having music for $249.99 was a deal-beaker (I’m happy with my non-music).
Earlier in July, many stores were dumping the previous edition of Garmins, so the FR255 without music dropped as low as $249.99 – I think this may be the basement price. But in case anyone really needs that music functionality, allowing you to run outdoors without a phone.
I like this watch, use 24/7, charge it weekly+ – uses a MIPs screen which is energy efficient. This is mostly for runners. Very detailed metrics on performance and health (sleep and cardiac health), VO2max and lactate threshold are the big ones.
