Toronto to South Asia (Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka) – ~$1100-$1200 RT (September 2025 – Cathay via HKG)

There are some decent fares in the $1100 range showing for September from Toronto to South Asia (Nepal, India, and Sri Lanka). These flights are on Cathay (via Hong Kong) and include a checked bag and a carry on. Kathmandu in particular is hardly ever on sale, so to see $1175 for that is indeed a pleasant surprise.

See sample destinations/dates below (you can certainly do shorter/longer trips / different dates, just play with the dates as the fares are available for a variety of dates, but mostly within the Sep-Oct time frame):

Ironically, it is much more expensive to book just to Hong Kong (sample dates I looked at were $600 more). As tempting as it might be to book the cheaper ticket and skip the onward leg from HKG, I wouldn’t do it – you can have your ticket cancelled and possibly be blacklisted.
