How the return trick works
The receipt prints a “Max Refund Value” for each item. You can return either item and keep the other at a pro-rated price. The values below use the ToolGuyd calculator. I checked them against my own Ryobi receipts and they match to the cent.
How to read the tables
“Keep tool” = what you pay for the free tool if you return the battery/kit.
“Keep kit” = what you pay for the battery/kit if you return the tool.
“% off” applies to both items in the combo. Each pair adds up to the price you paid. Taxes extra.
