I saw that some mouth breather posted one of these new with tags for $50 on Marketplace so I knew something was up
They claim to dampen vibrations substantially, though it seems most pros have gone to all titanium or stuck with the classics so I didn’t see many useful reviews these.
Not a lot is useful out there in hammer reviews, tbh. Seeing someone who misses every third try tell me which hammer is better on YouTube feels absurd. I found a paper about a research project comparing this design to a wood handle and steel, and it was believably better to me in vibrations, and I definitely feel it for a while after doing a bunch of nailing.
I grabbed the last 16oz at Yonge and Church, there’s still a 20oz there.
