[Princess Auto] DEWALT DWMT45443 impact socket set: 42 piece, 3/8″, SAE + metric, normal + deep, foam tray for drawer

Looks like PA isn’t allowed to say this is a DeWalt product, so there is no info in the description and the image is photoshop’d. But a review image on PA proves this is the DeWalt set.

What appears to be the same set is selling for ~$150 CAD shipped from multiple sellers on Ebay. Example:

The foam tray is meant for a specific drawer or case, but you could cut it to size for your drawer, or you could buy rails for them. The proprietary drawer cutout size explains why this is discontinued and on clearance; nobody owns whatever this was meant to fit into, lol! But it doesn’t matter.

For context, what appears to be the hard-case version of this set (DWMT19248) is almost $300:

One of the most highly-rated socket sets on HD (DWMT45435) has sockets that look the same. It’s a smaller set optimized to only include the most-necessary sockets. It has only 17 pieces and is $168:

Even a set with just 7 sockets that look the same (DWMT74449OSP) costs more, almost $70:

Final context: the big Milwaukee Packout impact socket set (49-66-6805) is $308 and includes the $50 low-profile case; subtracting the case value, they’re still charging 4x more for fewer pieces. You could probably use a bread knife to cut the DeWalt foam to fit into a Milwaukee case if it’s too big, haha

I don’t see these in my local store, so I expect they are mostly on the website and will sell out. Merry halloweenmas!
