Brent Balkaran’s SoundKilla, an Early Access multiplayer shooter inspired by the “electrifying world of Caribbean sound clash culture,” will be shut down on or after January 11, 2027.
The game launched on Steam last April. However, the developer explains that he was unable to implement the planned updates and is therefore discontinuing development of this version of SoundKilla.
The free-to-play game will remain accessible to anyone who added it to their library before its removal from the Steam store.
Developer statement:
I am discontinuing development of this version of SoundKilla. The game will be removed from the Steam store on or after January 11, 2027. I am a solo developer and was unable to implement the updates I had planned for the Early Access phase. The game is free and contains no in-game purchases, so no one will lose any money they have spent on it. It will remain in your library and can still be played even after the game is shut down. Thank you to everyone who tried the game and provided feedback.
