Buyers beware!
When logging in on Flashfood (morning of 2026/10/03), I was shocked to learn it raised the service fee AGAIN to a minimum of 99 cents per order or 8% of order value.
This translates into a minimum purchase total of $12.50 for the service fee to be equivalent to the previous 8% rate.
The service fee used to be only 5% not that long ago….with no minimum.
Not to mention the sloppy mechanism many stores run the program, eg taxes charged on non-taxable items, missing items, 14-day refund window from purchase date (vs best before date – namely pickup deadline). Had nightmare where store discarded my purchases but I was unable to get a refund because I went to collect beyond 14 days from purchase), just to name a few
