Google is back at it with free trials for students on their AI plans. In late July, Handshake offered Canadian and US undergrads 12 months worth of Google AI Plus for free (offer expired on August 21).
Others like Internshala offered similar deals for different regions. Jio in India also came in and offered 18 months of Pro for new SIM activations.
This time, Google offers a direct channel to their promo. 12 months of AI Pro, which you can look at the plan details here. 5TB, YouTube Premium Lite, Gemini Spark, higher AI usage limits among other features.
Promo is only applicable to students within the US. Just like last year, you have to get ahold of an American .edu email and VPN. Requires a payment method to activate, but you can easily turn off recurring billing afterwards.
A similar promo but for AI Plus is also available for students outside the US, but weirdly excludes Canada, Albania, Bolivia, Hong Kong, Macau, and Tunisia. So if you somehow have access to a .edu email as well as a VPN for an eligible country, you can claim this offer.
Both promos use the same link but offers will vary based on which region you connected to with a VPN.
