Pickleball seems to be getting more and more popular, a friend of mine found a new court opening up in Richmond Hill. I called them and they’re doing free play this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (Aug 28–30), with their opening on Sept. 1.
I’m gonna check it out this weekend and see how it is.
Pros
– cushioned court (people with knee injuries, etc)
– padel court (never played before, so can’t comment)
– indoor with A/C
cons
– seems pricey. not sure if the cushioned court is worth it.
– 12 month commitment
full access – 139.99/month – pretty much play whenever up to 2 hrs per day
core access – 99.99/month – free for during off-hour and 50% discount on court during peak hours (5pm-8pm). would be acceptable if you can play during the day.
General access – 499.99/annual – 50% off all booking.
normal court price is 55/hr
