The RT-BE96U is a well-regarded and reviewed high end WiFi 7 router that includes 12 stream T/R 4×4 6GHz, 5GHz and 2.4 GHz bands with 320 MHz channel width on the 6GHz band as well as Multi-Link Operation and 4K-QAM modulation that allow dramatic increases in transmission speeds, reduced latency and flexibility / reliability compared to WiFi 6 (in addition to OFDMA, Flexible Channel Utilization, Multi-RU, etc). It also sports 2 x 10GbE ports (and multiple 1GbE ports) that can sit at the center of a high speed 10GBase-T network. This is one of the fastest WiFi 7 routers on the market that can easily serve over 2-3 Gbps at 5-25 feet and approaching 2 Gbps at 50 feet. On the software side it supports just about everything you’d want or need in a router thanks to its easy to use and feature rich GUI… including excellent VLAN support, easily configurable separate SSIDs (ie: for IoT, Kids, VPN, et al) and very good support for multiple VPN clients and servers as well as comprehensive QoS configurations and much more.
The RT-BE96U can also be flashed with custom Merlin firmware for extended features and the most up to date security patches, etc. Overall, this is an excellent router that is well worth this excellent sale price.
