[Canadian Tire] Magnetic Rechargeable LED Warning Light $40 YMMV

The Hendo Magnetic Rechargeable LED Warning Light EL 5103 is on clearance at Canadian Tire. It is for professional use, quite small (roughly the palm of an adult male hand) and *very* bright. I recommend to wear sunglasses when you try it out after having charged it (or just close your eyes, you will still see the flashes).

This is rated IP69, wich is the max ingress protection under IEC 60529. It weighs 168g and is supposed to flash along for up to 20 hours on a charge. I will keep one in my car, together with the high-visibility vest, just in case.

There is a strong magnet and – to obtain the IP69 rating – a small, unique magnetic charging port (USB-A-cable is included).

If you have several of these devices, you can sync their flashing patterns. Note that the included instructions are badly translated.

Most Canadian Tire stores with inventory sell it for $39.93. According to
https://stocktrack.ca/ct/index.php?s=ct&q=0203808
there is a handfull of stores scattered around the country who sell it for a few dollars less or more. Most of those showing the full price of $69.99 do not have inventory anyway.

As far as I can see, this is on clearance because Hendo is now selling a newer version EL 5104 for $98. I am not sure what exactly the difference is.
