This is a niche device. Don’t get it if you’re looking for a powerhouse, great screen, multi-tasking. I think this is a great secondary device, albeit, an expensive one. Strictly a Surface Pro competitor. Too bad the Gen 2 didn’t upgrade the screen. Gen 1 was a Surface Pro 7 Plus competitor. Gen 2 keeps the same screen but upgrades the processor, not sure if any/many other changes.
Pros:
– great build quality and keyboard from reviews
– comes with keyboard and pen, would probably cost you $350+ to get for Surface Pro
– 164U should have decent battery life, but not a powerhouse
– 32GB ram plenty
– serviceable parts including battery from what I’ve read
Cons:
– screen is FHD+, 60Hz
– small screen if it’s your only laptop and not connecting to external monitors
– form factor not ideal for lap-top use
– limited ports, only one of the USB-C ports is thunderbolt I believe
I want this but I got the Surface Pro 7 Plus refurbished deal from Visions a few months ago and it’s more than enough for my usage, although the battery does leave me wanting more.
